Organization

This initial nucleus continues to increase and now counts both national and international experts as scientific and honorary members.

The organization of CIDEC is coordinated by an Executive Board and a Technical Committee supported by a multidisciplinary research team.


The Executive Board includes the following professionals and responsabilities: Chairman (Juan José De Andrés Gils. Economist-Main Promoter-)Vice-Chairman (Juan Zubillaga Esperanza. Doctor of Physics); Treasurer (German Valderrama Carranza. Economista); Secretary (José Manuel Ruiz Del Cerro. Attorney)
On an operating level, there is a Technical Committee which covers two of the main working aspects of the centre: Direction of Initiatives and Institutional Relations (Committee Head Teresa Hernando Albistegui. Economist), and Direction of Projects (Committee Head Isabel Arrillaga Viguria. Economist).
For the support of the Direction of Initiatives and Projects we have Specific and Multidisciplinary Research Teams (Sociology, Psicology, Law, Community Work, Computing, Business Studies...) which are organized according to the initiatives and projects, and cover different areas of specialization: Information and Knowledge Society, Education and Professional Skills, Development and Share Capital, Equal Opportunities,...

Forthcoming Publication: New Sources of Employment in the 21st century
New Sources of Employment will soon be the latest research published in our “Work Paper” Collection. It analyses the consequent transformation process following the emergence of New Employment and its perspectives for the 21st century and deals with the current confusion between such terms as emerging occupations, new professions and areas of potential employment amongst others. Taking the original conceptualization of the birth of new employment as a point of departure, we introduce certain initiatives and findings gathered from the European context. In the analysis of the Basque situation, estimations relating to employment and job placement of young people trained in professions which are considered “related” to the New Employment Sources have been included, along with the results of a survey on the development of local initiatives within these areas.
